Game bleach versus crusade 2012. I can understand both sides, to be honest. I can understand 'our' culture and our opinions. Of course, we want to play the games the japanese/asian people can play. And we are grateful for translations.

Really, who wouldn't be? But I can also understand the other side. It is, after all, a topic to argue on. And I don't know where I stand. Basically I just try to have fun. A japanese person would be grateful for a translated, english game, too, right? I don't think translating in general should be flamed.

We all like Hetalia, right? We are one fanbase, right? We want to enjoy our fandom.right? So.I don't know. It is a good thing that there are translations.

That means that the work has to be great, after all. Nobody would translate horrible art or horrible games. On another note: I'm working on an original fangame myself. I base it on nothing but my own imagination and try to put HetaOni references in it - just because I love HetaOni in general. My game will be about the zombie apocalypse and every character will level down. At the moment I'm stuck with making Sprites, which can take some time, considering I have to sprite more then 20 characters. And I'm doing most of the work myself.

There are two people that will help me (With one of them I discuss the storyline , the other one will help me with pictures and an OST for the game. , other than that, I'm on my own.

I have Americas Spritesheet submitted to this group already, so.there is something to look at. And I try to get as much work done in my holidays as possible.

I don't get many attention, though. But I'm rather new do deviantART and started the projects some weeks ago, so of course there aren't many people that know about it. But.the project itself is very dear to me. I do know about it (actually I am the one who commented on your America sprite, telling you not to feel bad about wanting your sprites to be exclusive for your game for some time ^^)You can continue putting some previews of sprites, or concepts in the monsters folder, even some drawing in the fanart section, to help promote your game ^^ And when you have some demo or trial version that shows how the game works in general and a bit of the plot, feel free to send it to the fangame promotion folder ^^. Hrmm, I can see their views actually. It's true that I notice people claim remakes of games as theirs, and though I do agree they worked hard on it, in the end, we use others sprites, music, tilesets, etc, to make this game copy.

So in a way, we can't ever say it's truly ours.Still, I think a copy of a game isn't too bad, considering people have already done it, but I think it's wise to stick to being as close as you can to the original, they deserve at least that much and more. I've noticed that what started as a game copy in English has turned into a different game system, different graphics, etc. The only thing similar is plot really. That's kind of where I feel the line should be drawn, especially when people make new endings for the games. Then it's not the original plot designers, it's now there's and the ties that make it something of.possible.

equal value become severed. If people will make copies, they should stay as true to the 'original' as possible.I've noticed also, that the popularity people have gained from the games is well, getting to their heads.

It's not a good thing. I'm hoping that people just finish their games and the whole ordeal tides over. Folks have a game to play, the creators of Hetalia crossover games won't lose their work in the process, and we can all make way for the original Hetalia games! But that's just my opinion.:3 It's always a challenge, to satisfy both sides.Maybe I'm being hypocritical, after all, I have been working on RomaHeta.I've tried to stay close to the game as possible, using RPG Maker XP and similar programming. It's not exact though:I. for a while, but it was for the fun of programming. It was my first RPG game and I thought trying to copy the game would be fun.

The only reason I share it is because I worked hard on it and thought I might as well, but if I receive complaints, I'm more than happy to take it down.I've got two original Hetalia games actually, now that my RPG Making has improved. One's half finished, but it's more like a short puzzle game. The other I plan to make with real plot.writen a very long plot summary., so I'm hoping it will be okay to submit it soon? I'm not sure what to do for Romaheta. I've got three quarters finished but I guess I should stop and focus on original projects?Hopefully, things will work out!

I think if you've gone such a long way with RomaHeta, you should as well finish it, it would be a shame otherwise, and a waste of your time and hard work. I am sure many people -including me- will be happy to play it! Ahh, yes I had heard of that. That's one of the reasons I'm trying not to draw too much attention, but you're right. I should contact the creator. The only problem is that I don't know who it is (A. I am sorry, I've been forever thinking of making like a clear profile for some games, like Gloria Hetalia, RomaHeta, HetaOni etc., but I forever lack the time to do so at all XD I didn't do much research on the authors of these games, or the original downloading links etc.

I would really like to be able to share the original links to get the games and stuff, along with the English ones, I think it would be nice!I made the folder (had no idea what to call it to make it function clear lol.)I am glad the group is at least starting to have enough materials for Hetalia RPGMaker projects in general, I am sad we don't have resources for MUGEN and other kind of games yet -I so badly want a Hetalia fighting game myself XD- but well, all of this is so time consuming, we went enough of a long way these two years! (wow 2 years already! Ah, that's no problem! I know the HetaOni creator and her website, same with HetaHazard, but I have found nothing on terms of RomaHeta. When they said remove, they meant remove it seems. It would be fun to play the other games, I always love seeing that someone new has joined the RPG making, I try to provide help for that, since making games is a lot of work and people often drop the project half-way through. I hope all these new projects I'm seeing will go far!It must be hard to run the whole group.:S If you ever need assistance, I'd be more than happy to donate some time.

It's amazing! When I first watched the group, there wasn't much, but now there's a steady amount of material It would be nice to see some more side-view things. I've played around with those resources, but I don't quite have enough for a fighting game. It would be fun to see one though!

Still though, material creation is probably one of the toughest. And in my opinion one of the most important. jobs. I can see why there isn't a lot. I can see your point, but honestly when it comes to those, there are two reasons I don't think they should be upset;1. It's the simple fact that we, knowing of those games, want to play them, and the only way we CAN play them is if they're in English.

They put them out there for people to see, and no one's claiming it as their own.2. The ones who remake the game, from what I've seen, aren't copying anyone. I started mine thinking I was the only one since I looked it up, and Pianodream started hers thinking that the only one who HAD started it, ended up having to cancel. Though me and Pianodream's are the only two I know of that are remaking Hetaoni, other than a friend of mine but she's not even doing it very publicly. And have the original creators actually said anything, or has it just been fans getting upset about it? All right, taking a step back, I can see this from both sides. On one, yes, you're right, I am almost copying it. I DID want to try and ask the original creator, but everyone I asked about how to contact him/her (I really know nothing about them, I can't find anything) said they were on another website completely and I couldn't contact them, or they don't come on anymore. Also, they have no right to yell at you or this group. I'M the one making the game (And really, I've seriously only seen two), I just post it on your group to get it out to the people who WANT to see it.

Hetalia Games

English

If they want to yell, they should yell at me or Pianodream. And people are forgetting about the ones who DO want the game. If there weren't people who wanted them, I definitely wouldn't be doing one.Honestly, how many people are 'a lot' that are complaining? Ughhhh, people really??? -.-; Though I can totally see their pointThough there are the people who will complain just because they want to because they have noting better to do.There are enough here in the states that I am pretty numb to that sort of thing now.-I just wanted to say, though, that. Awwwww, get over it.the main word is FAN right? We will show our love how we want! Well any ways having gotten that out.I am a person who is trying to work on, I guess you could call an 'original' game.I started it a few months ago and is now on hold for another smaller game, and college work to slow down.

I just hope that these people research and quit their complaints!!! I keep forgetting to join the group and submit it though. Sigh, I'll do it later then.

I actually had a project going on with me and a few friends, but it basically never really took off. (The ideas are still there, and their original when it comes to Hetalia fangames, but there's practically no sprites for it. The one person who was making sprites here and there doesn't really make any anymore, sadly.has been hoping to find someone who'd make sprites specifically for the game but hasn't found one who loves the story idea yet. Plus I doubt I'd find standard sprites for the game that you could find like.

Anywhere.:/ I know there's sprites available for use by others, but most of the time it's not stuff that would really help/work in the game. )Annddd IMO on this one: Why is it when you ask the japanese to do translations most(not all) are for it, but the moment you do it to let other people see the game/just to be nice/ give people the opportunity to play it themselves/ blah blah blah without asking they (mainly the fanbase over there) have a cow?

For one the games getting more attention, along with the creators; That's a good thing (for most creators, anyway). If the works aren't being claimed as someone elses, (or sold) there shouldn't be much of a problem to begin with. Also why specifically target this group as the place to make the angry notes off too? Yes, this is a hetalia fan games group, but no where do I remember seeing (or have seen) anything that the group itself has put out promoting the creation of so called remakes (like a journal saying 'Go make some remakes!' Or something is what I mean, not people submitting their remakes into the group as deviations). They could possibly just note the remakers themselves instead of just blaming this group (or you can make a rule saying no more remakes are aloud to be submitted or something. I can predict that because of this journal, people who are claimed to remake games are going to be hated on.:/ And yes, I know about the language barrier; I know it exists and I know it's an issue but there are ways of getting around/through that). It might just be the cultural difference here (in fact it probably IS. From what I know there are a lot of things you have to ask about beforehand in Japan, but in, say, America, you don't have too) but I still think it's a little ridiculous (excluding the exceptional circumstances with the author not liking publicity, the authors the one complaining about western remakes, ect ect but since there's no said specifics, I won't know).

Romaheta English Game

Thanks for your opinion.Finding spriters is always difficult. They are more time consuming than 'average illustrations'.

I will definitely share the ones for my own project because I know it's hard and I want people to feel encouraged to create games, but I had to stop for a while for reasons I already explained in other journals.About banning remakes, I won't do that because they are basicaly the same as fanarts, you know what I mean? I do encourage people to try to create something else apart from RomaHeta and HetaOni games, because we already have various versions in English and Spanish. So, claiming 'I'm doing it to make it playable in English' is no excuse anymore XD We are not going to stop anyone though, just saying they can also try to be original! XDAnd, yes indeed, there is A HUGE cultural gap here. Here it's basically happening the same as happens when people take a picture from Pixiv or Japanese websites. Japanese people are like this, they would NEVER take someone else's work to 'share' in forums or the likes, and especially without telling the artist, that's a BIG deal for them.

Most western people say that stupid and don't care about it, however, they do the same with someone post their pics around XD Games are much more time consuming than a picture or a doujin, so go figure. I'm about at the point where I'd like to either HIRE a spriter (I'd like to see some sample work first obviously, but it's a possibility) or I'm gonna have to try spriting myself.has sprited in the past but mainly it was editing other sprites to my tastes.I was just throwing an idea out there, but personally I wouldn't ban them completely from the group either. (But I'd consider it if the author of one of the games started complaining.:/ )Yea cultural gaps: P The only time I normally see people getting mad over their artwork being put around is if it's being claimed by someone else or it's being sold without their permission.

I think it's just natural for people to want to use peoples artwork online for webcams, or just to show it off to people 8D Even I'm ok with that. Sorry I feel like I'm spamming this journal now, but anyway, I have an idea:We should start promoting everyone's original games in this group. There's a lot of them floating around out there trying to get made but not getting enough help or attention, so.I don't know, maybe you could make a journal or something listing some of the original fangames currently trying to be made, and linking to their groups or creators' pages, or something like that. And maybe, when someone needs spriters or anything like that, this group can put out the call to help recruit. Or, when someone puts out a promo for their original game, it can get featured in a journal or something like that.

Just ideas. You know, we all help each other, we all make beautiful games, and everyone is happy Seems happy in theory anyway lol.If people want their original fangames to succeed, publicity and exposure from this group would probably be a great help! OH my not at all, I am so happy I got people's attention and opinions on this topic!Actually, what you said is what we are trying to do. But there are a few problems with it.

Yeah it was a pretty theory in my head. There's a serious lack of spriters (which I understand, I've tried spriting myself, it's such a pain). Do you happen to have any tips for spriting, or special techniques you use? When I tried to make them myself I didn't really know what I was doing, and couldn't find any good tutorials, but even just a tip or two might be helpful ^^Yeah, it makes sense to make sure that people are serious about it before investing all the time and effort. I started helping someone with a project called Memories of Hetalia, and I'm so invested now I'm even trying to teach myself how to sprite O.o lol.

I remember reading the title when I first found out about RomaHeta and I was like “So. Is this about Romano.?”Actually no. Despite the Roma in the beginning of the game name this has nothing to do with Romano with the exception of his involvement and memorable scenes within the game. Actually, RomaHeta is about a game. Fun!The basic plot is that Japan creates a game where at first it was going to be something like virtual reality.

So he could ‘meet’ his anime idols in front of him if I recall correctly. (It’s been a long time since I touched this game honestly)Something goes wrong when an error pops up on the screen and suddenly every other nation has been sucked into the game. There isn’t any escape unless you beat the game.

The main antagonist.Yeah, so that’s the basics of the plot.Another fun fact this game is the predecessor of the very popular fan game HetaOni. It was the game made before HetaOni. This game also stopped production part way through but to different reasons. From what is known the creator stopped working on RomaHeta because it’s fan base in Japan got too big and the creators of Hetalia were apparently not okay with this.

So RomaHeta was cut short. I’m guessing it was the animation company for Hetalia that got upset. After RomaHeta project was ended due to unfortunate circumstances they moved on to HetaOni. (Until the tsunami which made them stop working on that too—)Alright so, I can’t find an English playthrough that is downloadable but I know there are playthroughs on YouTube so if you want to watch those, and don’t want anything spoiled leave now.SPOILERS AHEADI’m going to name some key moments and a very important character.Okay so, I like to speculate one of the reasons AmeBel (America and Belarus) is a ship is because of this game.

And maybe somewhat originated here. As there’s a peculiar scene in game where Belarus tosses herself in front of America to take an attack from her brother Russia to protect America. Kiku actually wears a robe throughout the game since Error looks just like Kiku. Error wears the military uniform seen in the actual Axis Powers series.

He’s extremely powerful and has major control of the game. He won’t allow anyone to leave unless they defeat him in ‘his’ game. He’s also the reason they got sucked into the game. There’s a couple scenes where it’s apparently because he just wants them all to live in his game with him. I forget if it’s because he’s lonely or what but yeah.

I remember feeling a little bad for him. Also apparently, Miku Hatsune is in this too. Also she’s China’s companion.

Actually it’s name isn’t Miku but it is Miku. Basically it’s another copy.

You know, like what Hong Kong apparently likes to do in the webcomic where he copies ideas and changes the name just barely. I forget it’s actual name but yeah it’s pretty much Miku. She dies to protect China by the way.The Bad Touch Trio get some attention in the game as well.

Hetaoni Game

Another boss battle that is ridiculously hard to beat from what I remember is when you have to kill a DRAGON. As the Bad Touch Trio of course. They use some secret art of theirs at the end of the fight and slay it in the end. It’s actually a really cool moment. Canada becomes a bad guy! But not really.

He wants to fight and pretty much defeat America and in the process everyone else, apparently working with Error and having an ‘army’ of monsters to back him up. Of course he’s also been infected with this error or whatever that effected both Russia and the Italy brothers. (And also England and France but we’ll get to that.)As mentioned, England and France also fight you at some point.

I forget what France was but I’m guessing he was naked and England was in his angel getup in this battle. Another scene is when Liechtenstein and Belarus enter the knocked out Russia’s mind to try and recover him back to his original state of mind. Inside they find a child Russia and a grown up Ukraine. The conscience of the malfunction. They have to convince Russia to come with them but Ukraine tries to keep Russia by telling Liechtenstein and Belarus that they can’t take him because he needs his big sister and to be safe here in their sunflower field.

Russia doesn’t exactly look like he wants to leave either. The game cuts off around Canada’s battle but I may be wrong. And I might be wrong about a couple specific details but generally all of this is in the game and I suggest watching it if you can’t play it.It’s been a long time since I’ve looked at RomaHeta BUT I FREAKING LOVE IT.It’s a great game.I don’t know if this is feature worthy but it’d be aWESOME IF MORE PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT THIS GAME:””).

Ahh I remember! I watched it by Itachu gaming and I really enjoyed it.

I think it's better than HetaOni, especially because here England doesn't use his magic like every two seconds. I like both but this oneOther rpgs that are good are dreamtalia, dangantalia and escape from Siberia. EFS and DreamTalia aren't finished yet but Dangantalia is and if you want to watch it it's on Youtube ('Itachu gaming' played it). You'll probably cry btw. I don't remember other nice rpgs now, most of them are with 2Ps (HetaFire, World of analogue, Oliver's wish.) but I didn't really like them.
