I think that the reason that you are not finding it in any Guild serial number reference materials is because it is not really a Guild. It is a GAD which are made under a contract for Guild in a non-Guild factory in China using some Guild designs. Guild sells these as 'Guild GAD' models for very low prices to meet demands for acoustic guitars at the entry level price point. Actual Guilds are made in the US and are more costly because they are built with higher quality materials to higher standards. Guild has now stopped ordering GADs from China and they now call them their 'Westerly Collection'. Of course these have absolutely nothing to do with the old Westerly, Rhode Island Guild factory and the many fine Guild guitars that were made there. These are essentially the same thing as the GADs were - guitars made by a non-Guild factory in China to some Guild designs and sold by Guild as inexpensive entry level guitars.

Current production of actual Guild guitars is currently being done at the Guild factory in Oxnard, California. Current production of actual Guild guitars is currently being done at the Guild factory in Oxnard, California.Right.

Vdo dayton ms 4150 software s data. The guitar is designed by Guild, built for Guild, imported by Guild, Guild employees check them out before shipping them to dealers (according to the Guild customer service rep I exchanged emails with). It has 'Guild' right there on the headstock.

It goes to a Guild dealer. But it is not 'really' a Guild.Nonsense.I love US made Guilds, but the Westerly collection guitars are Guilds. If you compare my F-30 standard with the Westerly equivalent (OM-140) you will see (and hear) the similarities. They are both Guilds. Well, It's identified but I just don't know when it was made and other details of construction, materials, etc.

Here are the numbers inside:Model #: GAD N2ONAS/N: GAD-25225Stamped inside of heel block: Made In ChinaIt's concert size, all mahogany, gloss finsh.I've looked on a couple of websites offering Guild S/N's but couldn't find anything.Any help? Thanks!Trying to find info regarding when a GAD or other China-made Guild guitar was made based on serial # is difficult. You won't find lists online like you can with US Made Guilds. Can you post a picture?

The earlier GADs had a pick guard that looked different than the traditional Guild pick guard. If it's an M20, it's probably smaller than a concert size.

Head on over to Let's Talk Guild for more information. The 'Lets Talk Guild' forum is pretty silent when it comes to the Chinese made models.I posted a question once, and it never got answered. Just a simple opinion request for anyone that owns the D1212. Not even a 'GTFO with that foreign made Guild'. Nothing.I mean heck, even the UMGF will answer a question about an X series.I think the reason is that there simply is not much knowledge about the MIC Guilds out there. If you search the LTG there are a few NGDs which are generally positive, but no one has made an effort to track batches or decipher serial numbers.

It was just recently figured out how to interpret the new model designations (supposedly consistent for Oxnard and Westerly series) though the new serial numbers may still be mysterious. Though truth be told, a lot of that is that there is not much interest in the imports. At least, not much interest in the acoustic imports.
